It's time to end the Bush ads. The only people who have not seen those adds are living on an island and don't vote. In a previous post, I argued that now was the time to go positive. I still believe that. The only risk Obama has of losing is that he doesn't adequately convey the reasons people should vote for him, not against McCain.
Obama has run a great campaign, and McCain has been inept on many levels. But if Obama doesn't finish strong, he could still lose this race. A strong finish is about reasons to vote for Obama, and not against McCain.
Again, let me say this as emphatically as I can. DUMP THE EFFING BUSH ADS!!!! They served their purpose, but now the American people need a reason to vote for change, not against Bush. Obama can seal the deal with the right message at the right time. Now is that time. There are multiple messages that can be conveyed positively. One of those is the ability to embrace and inspire conservatives to support him. Run with this asset. Declaw those who will swipe at you this last week.
Obama's politicos have pushed the Bush ad four days too long. Now is the time to send a message of unity and leadership through carefully and professionally crafted commercials. Get your act together Obama campaign, and our Republic has a fighting chance.

May I remind you, that the most conservative capitalists now openly suggest the U.S. government take an equity interest in our major financial institutions. I opposed it not out of ideology, but on the basis of what it means as far as precedent.
Here we are as a country bailing out large corporations that made bad decisions. On what basis should we not extend that courtesy to those who also made bad decisions regarding their mortgage and their ability to repay?
I am a liberal capitalist. I always have been and always will be. But conservative dogma overstepped anything I would have proposed regarding our collective investment in real property;. I have been consistent in that position, and for you to suggest otherwise shows that you have not read any of my previous posts.
I still can't believe that you call those people capitalists, let alone conservative. They're just power hungry and money hungry.
By the way, I have to disagree that the only people who have not seen the Bush ads are people who live on an island and don't vote. I don't live on an island, I do vote, and I (thankfully) have not seen (had to endure) the Bush ads.
I liked Obama better when he was talking about ideals, leadership, and vision rather than "McSame" and "four more years."

I agree with David. Please don't call them capitalists--unless you make it clear that they are NON-FREE-MARKET capitalists (for all I know that may be a contradiction anyway). What they have done is far from free-market.
Asking for the goverment to bail out banks from a problem the goverment caused is entirely symmetrical in ideology. What is hypocritical is the liberal capitalists who ignore that the government caused this problem and now mock the businesses who need to be bailed out.
